4chan Reddit-like Frontend does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no external servers. Everything runs locally in your browser.

The extension stores only your own settings, using the browser's built-in extension storage on your device: whether the threaded view is enabled, the default video volume, and your chosen theme colors. This data never leaves your browser and is removed if you uninstall the extension.

The "storage" permission is used solely to remember those settings between sessions. It is not used to read or store anything about the pages you visit. The extension runs only on 4chan thread pages (https://boards.4chan.org//thread/); it reads the already-rendered thread to redraw it as a nested view, does not call any 4chan API, does not run in the background, and does not access your browsing history or other tabs.

When you open an image or video, your browser loads it directly from 4chan's servers, exactly as on the native site. The extension does not proxy, copy, or upload media anywhere.
