Data Collection
Carousel Bookmark Flow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or browsing data. All user data (bookmarks, favicons, and settings) remain strictly on the user's device.
- Bookmarks: Read and managed exclusively through the Firefox Bookmarks API. No bookmark data is sent anywhere.
- Favicons: Extracted directly from the DOM of the currently loaded page using a
<canvas>element. No network requests are made to obtain favicons. Favicons are cached locally in the browser'sstorage.local. - Browsing activity: The extension does not track or record any browsing history, page content, or user interactions beyond what is necessary for its core functionality (e.g., detecting the current page's URL to add a bookmark).
- Analytics: No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry frameworks are used.
Permissions
The extension requests the following permissions solely for the purposes described:

tabs – to inject the overlay and navigate the current tab when a bookmark is opened.-
