Latest version
Version 0.1.5
Released May 15, 2026 - 29.29 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterWhat's new in 0.1.5
Breach Sniffer redesigned. Found breaches are now shown alongside a single list of actions to consider — covering email spam-list exposure, how to recognize phishing emails, and what to do for serious leaks (changing passwords, two-factor authentication, freezing credit, identity theft recovery resources). The previous risk-level labels have been removed; severity assessment is left to you, with the information you need to make that call.
Link Sniffer catches fake top-level domains. URLs ending in a made-up or nonexistent extension (a typo like .ulg, or a fabricated TLD) are now correctly flagged as "Looks risky" — they previously slipped through as "Looks safe."
Friendlier advice expander. Both tools now use "Some actions to consider:" in place of "What should I do?" — clearer that the suggestions are options, not orders.
Cleaner breach result display. Found breaches are now presented in neutral styling instead of red-tinted boxes, reflecting that the listing of a breach isn't itself an alarm.Source code released under All Rights Reserved

Version 0.1.1
Released Apr 18, 2026 - 22.1 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterThis update improves Link Sniffer. In the previous version, website scan results were shown in technical jargon without any information about what the user could do to take precautions. In this version, Link Sniffer uses clearer language about the websites it analyzes such as — it looks safe, it's probably fine, be careful, or looks risky. Users can click the "What should I do?" button and find guidance on what precautions to take at each level of risk.
