skinview.gg publishes an optional browser extension, "CS2 3D Inspector (skinview.gg)", that adds an "Inspect in 3D" button to CS2 marketplace listings on csfloat.com, cs.money, and the Steam Community Market (steamcommunity.com/market). It is separate software you choose to install from the Chrome Web Store; the website works without it.

The extension collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no servers of its own. Specifically:

It runs only on csfloat.com, cs.money, and steamcommunity.com/market pages.

To work out which listing each card or row represents, it reads the marketplace's own listing data within the page, read-only — observing the site's own listings API responses (CSFloat, CS.Money) or reading the page's own listing data (Steam) — because the card markup doesn't expose the id or inspect link directly. This data is used only locally, in your browser, to build the inspector link — it is never stored or transmitted anywhere.

When you click the button, it loads skinview.gg inside an in-page iframe overlay, passing the listing reference so the inspector shows the correct item. That is an ordinary request to skinview.gg, initiated by your click, and is covered by the rest of this policy.

It requests no special browser permissions beyond running on those three sites: no access to your browsing history, tabs, cookies, bookmarks, or any other site.

The extension does not sell, share, or transfer any data, because it does not collect any. Removing the extension removes all of its functionality immediately.
