Helios Inverter Sync by Stavros Papaiakovou

Helios Inverter Sync automatically fetches your solar energy production data from your inverter manufacturer's web portal and uploads it to your Helios PV Dashboard — no Python scripts, no cron jobs, no stored passwords.

HOW IT WORKS

The extension uses your existing browser session (the cookies already set when you're logged into your portal) to navigate to the CSV export page, capture the daily energy data, and upload it directly to your Helios account. Your portal credentials are never read or stored by the extension.

Once configured, syncs run automatically every 24 hours in the background. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time from the popup.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Helios PV Dashboard account (paid tier) at https://www.pvhelios.com
- An active session in your inverter portal in the same browser profile

SETUP
1. Open the popup and sign in with your Helios email and password
2. Select your inverter portal and choose your Helios system from the dropdown
3. Enter your portal plant ID (the number in the Aurora Vision URL, e.g. auroravision.net/dashboard/#123456789 → plant ID is 123456789)
4. Make sure you are logged into Aurora Vision in the same browser profile
5. Click Sync now — or wait for the daily auto-sync

SYNC BEHAVIOUR
- Manual sync: click Sync now in the popup at any time
- Daily auto-sync: fires automatically every 24 hours via the browser's alarm system
- On browser start: syncs once if the daily sync hasn't run yet today
- Date range: syncs all missing dates from your last upload up to yesterday

PRIVACY
The extension only reads the daily energy production CSV from your portal. It does not read account settings, personal details, or any other data from the portal. No data is shared with third parties. Full privacy policy: https://www.pvhelios.com/privacy
