PhishEye — Anti-Phishing Privacy Policy
What we check. To tell you whether a page is safe, PhishEye sends the URL of the page in your active tab to a threat-intelligence service for a verdict. By default this is the PhishEye proxy (https://phisheye.com/api/url-scan), which forwards the lookup to urlscans.com. If you switch to "Direct" mode in Settings and provide your own key, the URL is sent directly to urlscans.com.
What we do NOT collect. PhishEye never collects or transmits page content, form data, keystrokes, passwords, cookies, your browsing history, or any personal or identifying information. Only the URL being checked is sent, solely to obtain a safety verdict.
Storage. Scan results are cached in memory per tab and discarded when the tab closes or the browser restarts. Your settings (chosen endpoint and optional API key) are stored locally via the browser's extension storage and are never sent to us.
Sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share your data. URLs are sent only to the threat-intelligence service above to return a verdict. See the urlscans.com privacy policy for how they handle lookups.
