- Rated 1 out of 5by Helena S., 2 days agoThis worked great in my firefox on windows. Until last week. Constantly pop ups saying it would slow down the browser. Of course, i dont know what the reason is. I have to deactivate it and then activate again to log in somewhere and then deactivate again, and its annoying and feels like i can´t trust it anymore.
I can see that others have the same problem recently.
Dear developers, do somehting or at least give a sign that you read our recent reviews. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15242125, 2 days agoDO NOT INSTALL Version 2026.5.0 !
Slows down webpages significantly. I suggest installing the older version, you can do that below the add-on page under the section "See all versions". - Rated 1 out of 5by TechnoM4tter, 2 days agoDO NOT INSTALL THIS VERSION!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Shike, 3 days agoThey've made changes to this that effectively make browsing certain sites painful - the extension consistently stops responding and slowing the browser down.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17874178, 4 days agoslows down or freezes the browser. regularly runs `querySelectorAll form, input:not([data-bwignore]):not([type="hidden"]):not([type="submit"]):not([type="reset"]):not([type="button"]):not([type="image"]):not([type="file"]):not([type="search"]):not([type="url"]):not([type="date"]):not([type="time"]):not([type="datetime"]):not([type="datetime-local"]):not([type="week"]):not([type="color"]):not([type="range"]), textarea:not([data-bwignore]), select:not([data-bwignore]), span[data-bwautofill]`

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13512828, 4 days agoIf you have to log in to a third party website a plugin should be avoided at all costs.
You are the product. - Rated 1 out of 5by Cn, 8 days agoSomething has happened in the last 1-2 Days, the extension is now completely freezing all of Mozilla and we are being warned to disable the extension. I hope someone at Bitwarden sees all these reviews and figures out what it is, will fix my review when it's fixed, pinky promise.
- Rated 1 out of 5by DerBoeseWolf, 8 days agoEigentlich super zufrieden aber zZ wird dadurch Firefox bis zur unnutzbarkeit ausgebremst.
Wenn es wieder läuft gibts sofort wieder 5 Sterne - Rated 1 out of 5by pineisntpineapple, 8 days agoSlowed down significantly lately. Even Firefox is reporting that "this extension is slowing us down, want to stop it".
- Rated 1 out of 5by Spy, 8 days agoRecently started to slow down and freeze webpages. Firefox asks to stop the hogging bw process
- Rated 1 out of 5by Asclepius, 9 days agoCan't keep dealing with this extension's issues. There's always a problem with biometrics. Now, there's an issue where, if Bitwarden is running, Firefox starts to freeze/slow down and gives you a banner advising you to stop it to make Firefox faster. Come on. It's always something.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19967606, 9 days agoOut of nowhere this extension has began to cause unresponsiveness within the whole browser. Every time I load a new page, Firefox flags it as the culprit.
Great service that I've been happily paying for for years, but this is unacceptable and I will not hesitate to switch to a competitor if it's not resolved promptly. - Rated 1 out of 5by loutre, 12 days agoImpossible to log in on a self hosted bitwarden account from the add-on since the lastest update, which makes it basically unusable.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19959141, 14 days agoThis add-on began giving a strange error-but-not-really response with Vaultwarden sign-ins for me some weeks ago. Now it’s stopped allowing Vaultwarden sign-ins altogether. Evidently I’ll be accessing Vaultwarden via the browser page from now on. The Bitwarden add-on is dead weight. Removing.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17568996, 14 days agoNot really a fan of the new update. The size of the pop-up panel is way bigger for literally no reason (no further info is shown) and the pop-up has a long loading in animation that was not present in previous versions. It is also (for some unknown reason) made more difficult to fill a form on the page, now requiring you to press a tiny "fill" button instead of just clicking on the login you want to fill. There is also a strange bug where as I scroll through my logins the white info-text "Launch Website [Website]" appears in many different locations as I scroll. Terrible update. Will be switching to another service.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Shan Sanear, 15 days agoWhat went wrong with this plugin? For some time now it is so sluggish its not even funny. I can type 4 characters of my password and only first one is being recorded in the UI.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Johnathan Peltier, 17 days agoMichael Sullivan the new owner of Bitwarden was hired on to gut out the company and churn a profit so Bitwarden can be sold to the highest bidder. Find an exit and alternative like VaultWarden as soon as possible.
