by Droolio, 3 months agoI was very wary when seeing this v2 update (in the old version I had to be careful to avoid 'Send all tabs... to OneTab', because it basically nuked everything without saving heh)... but I made a third party backup of my Firefox profile (as we all should! *hint hint*) and gave it a spin...
Really pleasantly surprised at how good the extra features are. The filtering options, much needed search, the trash - this whole update has expanded its use case. For me, it's gonna be a bit overwhelming to sort through 24k+ tabs, but at least I now have some tools to help whittle that down and have some degree of organisation.
My only slight gripe so far is the 3 panel UI, it's a bit unnecessary IMO - the Quick list and Tasks can easily share the left panel. I hope the dev takes in all the feedback and also looks into reports of data-loss for some people, coz that's obviously concerning. (Make good third-party backups, people!)

posted 3 months agoThanks for the feedback - please also note that there is a new "Show the OneTab action popup" option in the Options page, which shows a popup window when you click the OneTab icon instead of immediately sending all tabs in the current window to OneTab. It's possible in the future we could make the side panels more configurable, like an IDE. If you have any other feature thoughts, please let us know at one-tab.com/feedback

- Rated 5 out of 5by sdfds, 6 days agoit worked very well for me till some of the last updates, now when I open it via context menu the tab appears as the pinned leftmost one, and I have to perform a few additional clicks to unpin it and place as the rightmost one, where I usually need it. I just hope the developers will return the usual behavior of this function. All the rest features work well for my needs, thank you guys!

posted 2 days agoHi, yes we'll fix the issue that defaulted the OneTab tab to be pinned in the upcoming update - Rated 5 out of 5by dola, 14 days ago"It acts as a 'lifeline' for your browser; a lightweight and free extension, specifically designed to end Tab Clutter. With a single click, the tool rescues your browser from crashing by converting dozens of open windows into a sleek, organized text list within one single tab."

posted 15 days agoHi, do you remember recently being asked if you want to "Refresh Firefox"? This is a prompt shown to you when you upgrade to a new Firefox version (there is a new Firefox version released every month). This feature, confusingly, wipes clean all add-on storage including OneTab's storage. If Firefox ever gets a disk corruption, that could also cause data loss.
I'm very sorry this happened to you. We're working on cloud sync so in the future this can't happen.- Rated 2 out of 5by What???, 21 days agoI have same problem with this extension as other users where it would randomly wipe out my tabs. I noticed this on Chrome too.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Mr Buckeye, 2 months agoDeleted all my tabs without saving, after new update, tabs do not show up in Onetab window. This problem is on Zen Browser
Developer response
posted 2 months agoHi, the Zen browser's extension API does not have full compatibility with Firefox extensions unfortunately. Many extensions won't work with it. We hope they will improve compatibility with Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19083290, 2 months agoI've already loved this extension for years and just noticed there was a new update (2.13) and its so sexy 10/10. An elite extension for my purposes.

I do not have "system cleaner" or "privacy cleaner" software installed. This is quite frankly a cop out. Your product sucks and you know it.Developer response
posted 2 months agoHi, I'm sorry you lost your tabs. Please note that if Firefox gets corrupted, or if you have "system cleaner" or "privacy cleaner" software installed, this can wipe clean data for all browser extensions including OneTab. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19076501, 2 months ago

I don't need the fancy ui... it takes way more clicks to do all the simple things I needed to do. Is there an xpi file or something of the old version? I need alternatives asap. Cool new features... but I don't want to click four times to do something that used to take one or two clicks.... that's bad ui design.
Developer response
posted 2 months agoHi, please let us know what actions require too many clicks, so we can add keyboard shortcuts or other improvements. As far as we're aware, the only thing that takes more clicks than before is when you're using the "share as a web page" feature. It's now just 1 click to delete a group, whereas before it was a click and a confirm, so that's an improvement. Older versions are available for download in the add-ons history. Please let us know at one-tab.com/feedback what specifically we can make more efficient to do in the new version. Developer response
posted 2 months agoHi, the new OneTab was designed to be much faster than before. It's possible it might be slower if you have a very old GPU - please contact us at one-tab.com/feedback so we can see if we can figure out the particular performance issue that we can fix.- Rated 5 out of 5by Ethan, 2 months ago
